I support this thread.

I also support fandom consisting of following players and not teams. It difficult for me to feel a sense of loyalty to professional sports teams. However, I follow players as they move around. Lebron James is one of those players. I used to root for the Cavs and now root for the Heat. Who is anybody to say how others should invest their ties to a team or player?

I used to root for MJ. But then I grew up.

So nomadic doesn't have loyalty to a team in a city. Figures.
