It's so sad. Your team is out, so you have to resort to trying to get a rise out of Spurs fans for entertainment.

If that isn't pathetic, I don't know what is.

Edit: Don't take it too personally, I don't mean just you are pathetic. Simple is right there with you.

Actually it's not trying. Based in your reaction it's succeeding

So thanks to you and all your buddies for providing me with the entertainment I've been wanting. It's been really fun

If I were Pop, I'd really consider giving Neal's minutes to McGrady next series.

He won't, but I'd settle for Pop not giving Neal any minutes at all. Also, this isn't a series where Bonner will be very effective (as he's already pretty awful most of the time). The Heat would go small with Bonner in the game and he wouldn't have a 7 footer trying to close out on him who's used to protecting the rim.

As would I.

Wish Bonner had the ability to clear a board every once in awhile. Spurs will need to be aggressive on the defensive boards against the Heat.

Two definite less days for rest for the Heat.

Game 5 should be rough and tumble. Pacers win that game and someone may need to start a spurs vs pacers thread.

I can't see Miami losing that game. But then again, I couldn't see them losing game 2.

We want the Pacers. Not really debatable IMO.

Miami should probably be down 3-1, so wouldn't be shocked if Indiana can find a way to win game 5, although its just as likely that Indiana gets blown out.

Yep.

Against Indiana the Spurs have a big advantage at PG, and everything else among starters is a push. Then you get to backups and the Pacers have nothing while the Spurs just keep coming in waves. I don't see how the Pacers would score against SA.

This.

The Pacers are basically the Grizzlies. They have a little more outside shooting, but lack depth off the bench. Hibbert and West aren't quite as good as Gasol and Randolph IMO, George Hill is a better shooter but not as good of a facilitator as Conley. Pacers do have Pual George who is a lot better than any wing player the Grizz have.

if it makes it easier for you to stomach, simple, i'll make it a $1,000 charity bet that the spurs won't get swept in the finals.

i pick st. jude if i win.

wanna quit being a chicken shjt?

I concur that we want the Pacers. For history's sake the media types will say that we need the Heat but for the fans who want that next championship the easier road is through Indiana.

The Finals don't start until June 6th. So even if this series goes the distance the winner should have time to rest.

Game 7 is scheduled for 6/3. If it goes the distance, the winner will have 2 days rest. Not many days to rest IMO.

The games seem to always come down to the wire between these two and neither team has much of a bench, so that is a lot of minutes on the stars. If this goes seven games and the stars are all playing 40-45mpg, that is a lot of wear. Especially in a pretty physical series.

I'm still scared about Miami lighting it up from the outside. And Indy is having so much success on offense because they keep going down to the post which really isn't our strength anymore. I still want Indy.

Don't get overly worried about Indiana. They are a worse version of the Spurs. They fight and scrap, but I've seen enough to know that they won't be able to keep the Spurs from getting their shots.

The Spurs may not be as good in the post as they once were, but they are a whole lot better than Miami is. Indiana is still only scoring 95 points a game against Miami and 92 in the playoffs. The Spurs are averaging 103 ppg for the playoffs and 99 against the Grizzlies, who were apparently the best defensive team in the regular season.

Interesting take on this upcoming series I heard this morning on 610am (meltser/payne) is that these two teams will be a good matchup because they are more superstar driven. Meaning they won't be competing against young scrappy teams like Indiana, Memphis, Golden State, etc...

Granted, the superstars for the Spurs are playing better basketball so far than the stars for the Heat (collectively)

As much as it pains me to say it, I'm pullin for the Lone Star State in the Finals. I don't see either team beating the Spurs.

Then again, I've been wrong on just about every series so far, so what the hell do I know?

My bet would be on Miami but anything can happen in a game 7. Pressure is on Miami.
