Unbelievably, Ginobili has been the Spurs worst player this series, playing a major role in all of San Antonio's worst lineups over the first four games. The Heat have outscored the Spurs by a stunning 22.8 points per 100 possessions when Ginobili has been on the floor, according to NBA.com/Stats. The Spurs have scored about seven points per 100 possessions more with Ginobili on the bench and their defense has been 34 points per 100 possessions worse with Manu on the floor.


After last night, it has to be worse.

So you're basically pointing out that Ginobili has been terribad this series. That's a nice observation.

Popovich has proven to be somewhat stubborn in the playoffs over the years so I would expect to see a heavy dose of Ginobili regardless of how he plays.

The article nicely quantifies just how terrible he's been.

The Spurs were -21 in the 35 minutes he played last night.

They were +18 in the 18 minutes he didnt.
