Seems like it would be hard to make moves on a team that has been to 3 straight Finals and won the last 2. But I think it's pretty obvious that the road to the Finals in the East runs through Indiana and Hibbert next year. I don't see this team beating an improved Indiana team next year. Do you make a Bosh for Deandre Jordan (or Asik) like trade to get size defensively knowing you don't need the offense?

I think if James is going to stay in Miami, Bosh has to be gone by the February trade deadline. If I'm Pat Riley I'm putting Bosh on the market in what looks like will be an active trade and free agency summer.

Absolutely try to move him for a rim protector. 0 ****ing points in game 7. Why is he out there?

Also, a team that already has a decent center could find a spot for him if they'll take on his salary.

He maxed out, but I think if he is playing in position and is the #1 or #2 option on the team he's a max player.

I think there are a number of small market teams that would take his salary just for the name. I havent looked at his contract, but a trade to the Wizards for Nene comes to mind.

Wade and LeBron took less, Bosh is the highest paid player on the team IIRC

ESPN has both Bosh and James at $17.5 with Wade at $17.2.

This year they are about the same, over the life of the contract they are a little different. Eventually they all get up to 21-22 mil.

Only way they move bosh is for another overpaid longterm maxed out guy. At that point, might as well stick with what they got. The heat are fortunate lebron has taken His game to a higher level because wade and bosh are on the downslope... and they are on the hook for a bunch of years.

the defense bosh played on duncan in game 7 is proof why they'll never trade him. He's invaluable to that team.

Indiana can beat the Heat if they are able to acquire some better bench players in the offseason. That was ultimately their downfall. No depth.

Huh?

Bosh got abused by Duncan the last two games when the Heat had Bosh try to play Duncan straight up.

Duncan averaged 27/15 for the last two games.

Two championships in three Finals. His ability as a big man to close out on the perimeter is why they even got to a game seven. They shouldn't change anything.

Read a rumor yesterday that Miami and Greg Oden have mutual interest. If they can keep Birdman, and get Oden, it could be a good deal for the Heat.

Greg Oden has played 82 games in 7 NBA seasons. Him signing with the Heat just moves Juwan Howard down a seat and is completely irrelevant.

The reasoning behind it was Indiana owning them in the paint. It gives them a big body to throw at Hibbert if they need to.

82 games in 7 seasons. You have to pray he can even walk, let alone still defend the paint.

He is averaging playing 11.7 games per season and you want him to man the paint for you against Hibbert? OK.

Oden shouldn't be a serious option. If you happen to get him for cheap and he can play a few minutes a game that's cool. The only way they are getting a better than average big man is to move Bosh.

I know they'll never do it, but what they should really do is trade wade.

Can't be beaten? If anything this series showed the exact opposite considering how close they came to losing.

I could see Morey signing Dwight and trading asik and Lin for bosh. Lin gives assurance if charmers leaves whenever his contract is up. I don't know about bosh. I figured that he would always at least have a great jump shot like KG has been able to keep, but the playoffs made me worry.
