Was Pierce part of the talks earlier this evening? I thought I heard that only KG was earlier in the evening, and he was going to talk to Pierce before leaving Boston?
Must be a major gutshot but he had to expect it. The Celts were always going to unload. Sucks Pierce was part of that but for the trade machine wizard or whatever, he shouldn't be surprised. He plays with crazy moves all day.

well they drafted scotty mochado who is a great PG (who was in college) but that 15MM in year 3 for lin might make him untradeable.

After using Wiki, I'd say this is worse. Jackson's contact expired, Jordan retired and Rodman was a FA. Only Pippen was traded and Wiki says he asked for it.
The Celtics traded their coach and face of the franchise. If the Bulls had traded Jackson and Jordan then it would be similar.
During the lockout the Bulls went from championship to dead last. The Celtics will likely do the same this year.

I really like Frank, and Kidd would be lucky to have him. I think the only thing in the way is Frank's wife's health is that right?
