Really? The Lakers a 6 and Houston a 7? You've lost all credibility on TA forever

And he has Boston in the playoffs when they've blown up their entire roster and have made it public they are rebuilding

You didn't even post a 6-7-8 in the East.

Better hope Rondo doesn't screw up his knee again or the Celtics might rival with the Bobcats

If I'm looking at the Clippers correct roster, they have 3 players over 6-7: Jordan, Fake, and Ryan Hollins. Assuming they sign Lamar Kardashian(or Kmart or Jamison, et), that puts them at 4 players, but over the luxury tax threshold.

I don't see Sterling paying lux tax.

They could have real problems if any of their big men gets hurt for an extended period.

Sterling is paying $7mm a year for a coach... who saw that coming?

They signed Byron Mullins as well.

Rockets have 20 B2B, one of them being Griz-Griz in January.

I saw three sets of 4 games in 5 nights. I don't know how that compares to the rest of the league, though...probably about average, I'd guess.

EC:

1-5 is pretty much a lock (Heats-Nets-Bulls-Pacers-Knicks in some order).

6. Cavs
7. Pistons
8. Hawks

WC:

1. OKC
2. LAC
3. HOU
4. SAS
5. GS
6. MEM
7. DEN
8. LAL/MIN (hinges on how soon Kobe returns)

I think the Clippers are going to be a much better regular season team with Doc coaching them, which is why I have them that high, but really you could put 2-5 in a hat and no resulting order would surprise me.

Doubt Houston gets better than 3rd. I think it'll be OKC/LAC/HOU/SAS for the top 4 in the West. Wizards are going to surprise a lot of people in the East. I can't believe some people think the Bucks are going to make the playoffs haha.

65 games in I have the top four seeds correct and in order (2 1/2 games from having the top 5) and 6 of the top 8 teams. I guessed that Denver would drop from the 3 to the 7 seed, but they are out altogether. New Orleans is not nearly as good as I expected even though they have been reasonably healthy.

It's a little early, but here's the preview of the 2014 edition of "The West is Way Better than the East".

Two teams in the East have already clinched a playoff spot; those teams would be the 2 and 4 seeds if they played in the West. If my calculations are correct, San Antonio, the number one team in the West and overall, still needs 5 more wins to clinch a playoff spot.

10 of the top 16 records are in the West. The 3 worst and 6 of the 9 worst records are in the East. The number 8 seed in the East would be 8 games out of the playoffs in the West. The 8 seed in the West would be the 3 seed in the East, which means the 3 seed in the East would miss the playoffs in the West.

Why not just save time and put Miami vs Indiana in the conference finals because barring a miracle from God those Canadians aren't going to have anything to say about it

Knew Spurs would be a contender this year as always, but honestly didn't think they'd be #1 in the league this late in the season.

Team's clicking at the right time, and is getting healthy at the right time.

Barring any catastrophes, Spurs are the team to beat in the West. The way the bench is playing, I don't see any series going 7 except possibly OKC in the WCF. Finals will be a dogfight though.
