I'm considering purchasing this. Is it worth the 30 a month? Do any of you have it and swear by it?

Of course. If you are a NBA fan, it is for you. Every game for your viewing. I am a spurs fan in Dallas so it makes even more sense for me. I think this will be my 10th year with league pass. Plus you can watch it on your mobile devices too. Do it

While I am a Rockets fan, I like to follow the three Texas teams, so I consider additional "value" in being able to watch Spurs games through the subscription and Mavs games through the local broadcast.

On top of that, as was previously noted, if you are just a fan of the league you can find a game each night to scratch your itch. My wife once caught me watching Timberwolves-Kings a few years ago, however, so be careful.

Also, unless it is a full slate of games on a given day, you should have the option to view both the Home and Away broadcasts. It's a nice touch when the Rockets are on the road.

One thing I would add, however, is to analyze your channel lineup or call DirecTV to verify the number of HD channels they provide.

I have used Time Warner Cable for each season order and they only provide one channel of HD broadcasts. It's probably not going to be a deal breaker for you, but it is a factor to consider.

you should go online and buy it for 185 straight up. i got it for 160 last year after *****ing about it to time warner

Rockets are blacked out if you live in Houston. Terrible

Anyone know of any discount codes for this? My provider is direct tv and i can either do 30 a month or 190 straight up. i'll probably do it either way but its still kind of expensive

My only concern is everyone online *****ing about how crappy the services is. Also I live in Tucson and I'm concerned about lakers and clips getting blacked out. Apparently people really have an issue with the blackouts.
