I can see that. They're all close in terms of numbers. Parker, Kobe, and Harden all had 23 in PER last year, Russell was 23.9. I definitely think that Westbrook was better and honestly, Parker is probably a more efficient player too at this point. So you're right although I'd say my point about Bryant being a player of astounding consistency and the ability to play at a high level for a long time still stands, even if he is number 6.
I don't agree that Harden is better though. Bryant beat Harden in points per game, rebounds per game, and assists per game last year, both in overall average and per 36 minutes. Their PER's are the same but Bryant has an edge defensively too. I understand that Kobe isn't anywhere close to the defender he used to be, that he can be downright bad at times. But he does have the ability to lock down in spurts. Harden on the other hand, is one of the worst defenders in the league at his position. He's lazy, disinterested, and honestly a liability on the defensive end. I still think Harden is a top 10 player but I would have taken Kobe over him last year.
