Charles and Kenny have been dead on tonight. The player mistakes in these series have been horrible. Chris Paul blew this game terribly. I'd be embarrassed to bail an absolute idiot end game player like Westbrook out with that foul. Paul is way too smart of a player for that. He's a whiny annoying little ***** of a player, but he's way too smart for that.

The clippers, not the refs, blew that game.

I actually think it might have been the right call on the out of bounds play.

If the OKC players hand was on the ball and the Clip player hit the OKC players hand causing the ball to go out of bounds then it was the right call.

His shooting has been slightly off, but 31 ppg, 9 reb, and 4 asts isn't exactly terrible.

I agree with EnviroAg, I didn't think it was a bad call.

The other plays that have complaints are consistent with the way the NBA has been officiated. Touch fouls on 3 point shots, and on the reach ins on the 2 Chris Paul turnovers, including the end of the game, those are exactly what CP3 has done defensively to others throughout the season.

On a side note, I can't stand Tony Brothers as an official.

That's the problem. Replay was set up to review the play only. The refs have been employing it as a means to create make-up calls.

Make-up calls are part of the game. It helps even things out during the course of live action and I understand the refs are human and they may have that style of refereeing ingrained in their DNA, but when they try to translate that style into a replay format where there is a break in action with the entire arena (and country) watching, it just makes plays like last night look terrible.

both of Jackson's hands were on the ball when Barnes hit his wrist/hand. It's a grey area, but I think it meets the intent of the rule. Regardless, the rule interpretation was not the explanation given by the refs. Just confusing all around.

And this is why I think Doc Rivers sounds like a whiny b when he complains about the whole game possibly turning on that one play. What? You mean the non-call that went your way you are OK with, but the replay didn't give you the ball back, when you ultimately didn't deserve it...that's the play that turned the series?



And I agree with Jet Smith, the play does look inconclusive.

Especially since the hand is considered “part of the ball” when it is in contact with the ball. Barnes hitting the hand and dislodging the ball is the same as hitting the ball.
