I'm not really rooting one way or another. I don't think anyone is disputing the fact that sterling is a dick. But he still has rights within the privacy of his home, and those rights potentially have been violated. It's a slippery slope that the NBA has found itself on

I'm rooting for drama.

I also don't really like the thought of the forcing of someone to sell their assets and incur huge tax liabilities rather than allowing them to pass the team to their heirs.

there's a gigantic difference between owning a franchise and owning your own business where you are the sole proprietor

There are, but I still don't like the idea of forcing someone to sell their assets and incurring hundreds of millions of dollars in tax liabilities that they would avoid if they passed the franchise down to their kids.

This article seems to think there's an avenue for Sterling to not endure the heavy taxes. Would be hilarious if the government didn't get a dime on the sale.

He is a team executive for the Knicks.

I don't like one thing about him ...his relationships his attitude his handling of just about everything.

But I'm completely on his side and hope he wins...the owners and the NBA caved to twitter and media and not facts.

It has been reported that several top firms won't represent Sterling (it may be in the other thread), but in communication with a lawyer from out there, it isn't because of media pressure or caving to the masses, it is because Sterling is notorious for not paying his bills and being a pain in the ass to get money from.

Pretty sure he has lawyers already. He has a reputation for being super litigious.

The rejected by law firms was a TMZ story, so you know it is 100% true and verified.

Sterling has hired investigators.

Good for him. The Finals have gotten lopsided, we need a little more fight in the NBA.

A judge has ruled that Sterling is entitled to a competency hearing before his wife can sell off his multi-billion dollar assets.

Gotta wonder if Sterling investigators will discover the same stuff the Cuban investigators supposedly did. If they do, Sterling would be the kind of guy to expose it all.
