Congrats from this Mavs fan too. The Spurs are THE model NBA franchise. I've been a Mavs fan since Jim Jackson was drafted, but in full disclosure, David Robinson was my favorite player (right after Dirk now, of course).

Sure, I can't stand Parker, and I don't think Ginobli is a HOFer, but the Spurs are a near perfect machine that year after year just simply does things right. And Duncan has all my respect as an all time great. Now, effing retire already.

Mavs fan here. Since winning the championship, the hate for the Spurs just hasn't been there for me, even if they've won 5 to our 1. So I'm happy for the Spurs and glad that the Heat lost.

As a Mavs fan, I can't hate the Spurs. Never have. Even when we play them, I pretend to, but deep down, I respect the hell outta that organization as was pulling for them all the way after they eliminated the Mavs.

Now, the Rockets? They can go to hell.
