The Clippers are better, they're a tough matchup for the Rockets and have been for a few years, but there's been a whole bunch of give up from the Rockets the last two games, too.

And another point on this--the strategy requires putting a total spare on the court to foul. So you're playing down a man offensively on a missed FT.

Exactly. We aren't good enough in a half court set to rely on scoring points consistently, especially when Dwight is on the bench a majority of the game in foul trouble. Hack-A-Jordan does just as much harm as good for us, IMO. It may work for the Spurs, but that's because they are so good at running their offense in the half court. We can't do that, and thus our offense completely stalls

When my team loses, I blame the refs. Its my coping method. And other team's fans call me out.. as they should. Where's the fun if you can't enjoy another fan's misery?

Hell, this thread alone is littered with posters of other fanbases (Dallas, SA, Memphis) who are using the cry/lol emoticon like it is going out of style to troll the Rockets fans here. And they have still been posting since, which tells me they have not been banned. Some of yall (not you, but others) just need to be able to take it if they are going to dish it

I've already been banned and I want adding anything remotely like rivalries while Rockets fans were telling me to suck dick without getting the posts deleted.

The warning by staff is pretty clear that there will be a two week ban with no appeals. And it has also been clear that that one thread has been moderated differently than every other thread in the history of basketball on Texags.

The Rockets tend to get down on themselves when they're down by a large margin. They're making Harden work hard on the defensive end and Griffin is putting a lot of pressure on the Rockets defense as a whole. I thought Harden was a really good player, but he's a defensive liability in this series. He can't guard CP because he's too slow and can't guard Griffin because he's not big or strong enough. It's hard to overcome Game 3 and 4 where the Rockets looked lethargic. I don't see them winning Game 6; back to the drawing board for the Rockets.

I don't see Harden and Howard ever winning a championship together because they don't really have the killer mentality.

This is one of the worst cliches in sports.

I don't think they'll win a championship because Harden doesn't do squat on defense and Howard is too iffy on offense. He's either boom or bust. They're just not consistent enough. Hence why they're so much better in the regular season and struggle during the playoff when they're playing in a series.

Plus they're coach is a ditz.

At the beginning of the year the Rockets had the 4th best roster in the West behind the Warriors, Clips and Spurs. That hasn't changed one bit. But losing Beverly and DMo at this stage hurts quite a bit. Rockets are missing a guy that can push the tempo and guard the other points in the league. Also in DMo, maybe a guy that has the best post moves on the team when the game slows down. Dwight is still a damn good player that gets easy baskets and shuts down the paint on D but lets be honest he's not a guy who can just go to down low to expect to go to in the clutch, that's not going to change. Moving forward Beverly is a darn good backup to bring some energy but they need another guy up top to push the tempo and break down the defenses.

Scott Foster doesn't care who wins, as long as he is a major factor in the outcome of the game.

Houston can still come back if they can make some buckets and quit giving the flops wow open looks.
