We've gotta get Capela to turn into the rebounding/shot blocking machine he's capable of being.

Why did Montrezl play so much? I'm not opposed to it.

Makes sense. Montrezl is basically a younger Nene, both in play style and looks.

Harden in on a different level right now. I don't think he should be taking 20 shots a game again, but if that's what he feels he needs to do, i guess he has no choice

Next game Saturday. A trip to Atlanta to visit Dwight Howard and the Hawks.

James Harden has had two straight games with 15 assists. Last year, he only had a single game where he reached at least 15 assists (16 vs OKC).

While that is an impressive achievement, I am more shocked that he has only turned the ball over 4 times to get those 30 assists.

Coach D has done a really good job so far.

Love it. Held a team with Melo and Rose to under 100 points, too.

It's amazing how impactful coaching is. I don't know if this means Coach D is a good coach or that McHale was just a bad one.

Not sure it means either. Both coaches have a vastly different approach to the game that can work as long as it has the right personnel and motivation.

Clearly Dantoni is the right guy to maximize the unlimited potential of a great offensive player like James. I know we are only 5 games in to the season but James is playing like an MVP right now.

I think the difference is one coach was brought in to coach up the big men on this roster when our best player is a PG/SG and our new coach was brought in to develop our outside players.

IMO, McHale was only a good fit because Dwight was here. While his coaching made Dwight the best post-defender in the league, his coaching worked to the detriment of the skill players.

Dwight won Defensive Player of the Year three times before joining the Rockets.

Dwight never made an All-Defense Team in his three years with the Rockets.

Dwight was a good player while he was here but he refused to play to his strengths to the detriment of the team.

What is the point of comparing Dantoni to McHale? McHale took Hou to the 2nd seed in the stacked West. McHale had nothing to do with last season. He was wrongly fired because of a slow start. JBB might have been a bottom 3 coach in the league last year.

Yeah and Harden wasn't on the all NBA team last year, I guess that means he wasn't one of the best players in the league, huh?

I don't care about awards, I watched enough basketball while Dwight was here to see that he was the best post-defender in the league. Furthermore, I never stated that he sucked before he got here.

You said McHale's coaching made Dwight the best post defender in the league. Dwight won three DPOYs before he ever got to Houston and before he was ever coached by McHale. Maybe McHale's impact on Dwight's ability was a little overstated by you.

LMAO. Dwight wasn't even close to being the best post defender in the league while he was here.

During Dwight's tenure, I would absolutely take all of the following post defenders ahead of him:

Joakim Noah
Andre Drummond
Marc Gasol
Anthony Davis
Deandre Jordan
Tim Duncan
2013-14 Tyson Chandler
Serge Ibaka too

He also averaged the lowest amount of rebounds and blocks per in his career since his first two seasons in the NBA. The Rockets also ranked in the bottom half of points in the paint allowed every single year he was here. So yeah, definitely best post defender in the league. Whatever you say.

If you think every player on this list was "clearly" better than Dwight in post-defense than we might as well not even argue because our views on the game of basketball and what we perceive to be great post defense is way different.

As someone who also watched every game, Dwight was better than Ibaka (Thunder converted him to a stretch 4 basically), Noah, and Duncan at protecting the rim. By a lot.

Not sure what being a stretch 4 on offense has to do with being a rim protector.

And Duncan was better than Dwight at rim protection.
