Objectively speaking, I don't think it's THAT ridiculous for those guys to pick Harden's MVP competition all three times. There's a fair case to be made for all three. Gotta remember that the MVP is, in fact, a stupid award that's based on more on narrative than performance. The narrative was definitely with Giannis this year.

Is Morey going scorched earth on his own team? How many assets do we have to give up AND pay Butler? Why add Butler anyway, let alone give up any assets? There have to be other options out there than just Butler. I don't get this move. With the money owed to Harden and Paul alone they have to spread out a lot of capital to fill out this roster.

Yep, Milwaukee just paid Bledsoe and about to pay Middleton. Probably gotta let Lopez go. He ain't going to be as cheap as he was this year, that's for sure. I think Milwaukee is going to be stuck in the good but not good enough realm for a few years. (kinda like us, i guess). They're not going to attract any Free Agents.

The reason they offloaded Tony Snell's contract was so they could re-sign Lopez to ~$12m. They can go over the cap to keep Brogdon and Middlton. Unless someone comes in with a ridiculous contract for Brogdon, they're keeping everyone, but I'm 100% certain they retain Lopez.

Something has to change pretty dramatically with this team before next season starts if we want to win a title. There are a limited number of players that we can actually get AND will put us in title contention. Morey believes Butler is one of them.
