And when his other superstars were gone, he wasn't much more than a free throw shooter after a phantom tripping call. I'm not defending Harden. Just saying that Curry would not come close to Hardens production if he was on a similar team.

Thank goodness parity in the NBA has now been restored. Now maybe Kawhi can go to the Clippers and they win their first NBA title next year to continue this new trend.

Agree. That was only a good look if you were down 3, not 1. Awful decision by Curry to not pump fake and drive there. Worst case he's shooting a wide open floater from 15 feet going at the basket. Dumb.

Warriors probably wins the series if fully healthy. But that is the breaks. Injury luck.

Worst injury luck for an NBA Finals team since the Lakers lost both Magic and Bryon Scott to injuries vs the Pistons, Scott in a practice before Game 1 and Magic during Game 1 if I recall. Pistons swept them in a dud series because James Worthy was awesome but could only do so much. Still counts as an NBA title for Detroit.

the Warriors were probably (rightfully) assuming the Raptors would simply double Curry if he got the ball out of bounds and force somebody else to make a play. Same way Warriors simply doubled Kawhi on that last shot in Gsme 5 and made him give it up.

And IMO trying a floater in that situation probably a lot harder shot than a catch and shoot three. And refs usually swallow whistles in those kind of deals unless really blatant.

It was a good look IMO that got their best player taking the shot. But what is that saying, it's a make or miss league.

Was thinking about that 1989 NBA Finals with the injuries to the Lakers and how their stars was out, but you have to take advantage of that.
