Butler is the only player on Miami with a salary more than 44% of James' salary. Miami would have to give up too many players to make a trade work.

So is it basically just that Harden wants to go to an East team? I don't see any West teams he's okay with. Must think he can make it to the Finals in the East and hope his team catches fire and beats LeBron.

Don't want to say he's scared of the West, but that doesn't seem far off either.

It's in the best interest of the rockets to make it seem like business as usual. The more desperate the teams appears to trade him, their trade leverage goes down. Not that the rockets have much right now.

35-year-old vet and probably our second most valuable player (if you're still factoring in Harden). As a fan, I'd be mad if they made him travel to Chicago for a pre-season game two months after he guarded damn near half the league on his own.

What's the point though? If he doesn't wanna be there, it's a one year rental. I think PJ is a pro's pro, but if he wants to pout it's bad for the culture of the team. It may be better to get rid of him and just start brand new and create a culture and future you want.

I agree he has a ton of value, but I want a team with guys who want to be here.

PJ is frustrated that he has not been offered an extension from the Rockets. Hints the "loyalty" post on IG. His expiring deal is actually a nice trade asset

Simmons is 24 years old. He is an elite defender and if he had a decent jump shot he would be a top 10 player in the league.

He's already in the top 15-ish area. Not sure what you're talking about.

Been a big fan of Simmons since his LSU days. His defense and passing ability are elite.

Obviously his lack of a jump shot causes your team to have a hole, but you could work around that.
