Yeah, also just don't care that much about rockets in general

All the East Coast teams have massive bball followings, OKC has a crazy good fan base, Mavs even have 2-3x the hardcore fans IMO. Even when Mavs were bad they were consistantly selling out and their club areas even when team was bad is as full as ours is when team is good.

When is the last time you saw people really rocking Rockets gear outside of toyota center?

A lot during the playoffs.

I don't know what it is about Houston that makes it so hard for basketball to gain a following.

I just know I love being able to sit in the lower bowl for $35

People usually don't care about the NBA in Houston until after the New Year. It is crazy how big this city is and how small TC is and we still can't sell it out (with actual butts in seats) consistently.

It's not crazy to think Steve Nash was a better shooter than James Harden. Harden is certainly the better scorer.

Harden's reputation as a playoff choker is well deserved. And nobody is going brag about his defense.

That said, I recommend all basketball fans enjoy watching this guy while his prime lasts. One of the greatest scorers on offense ever...definitely top-5 scorer in basketball history. Incredibly durable as well. Has missed only 39 games total in 10 years. Very very very special player. Again, enjoy the rare unique guys like Harden while they last.

In an age of players resting on back to backs and limiting minutes for load management, Harden is out there getting his every night.

Defenders just can't help themselves when James holds the ball out in front of himself in the lane. If there is anybody better at drawing those fouls I haven't seen them.

Carmelo started for the Blazers and played 24 minutes.
The Good: He was 2-3 from 3 pt.
The Bad: He was 2-11 on his midrange and post up shots.
The Ugly: Only grabbed 4 total rebounds, picked up 5 TOs, 5 PFs and was a fat -20.

Would have been a real stretch to find highlights from his 10 games as a Rocket to fill more than a 20 second tribute video.

I've been a Rockets fan all my sports watching life, and I don't enjoy watching him. 1:1 basketball (no matter who's the feature) gets old after a while. I appreciate his athletic ability and his durability. Winning cures all though. If he brings a title to Houston none of the above matters.
