I have no doubt James wants out at this point but to try and say it is because you want to go somewhere else to "win" is the most tone deaf thing I have heard in a while. James has never had a win at all cost mentality and now all of a sudden that is his major concern is a pretty pathetic way to go about this.

The 4 teams that makes sense are warriors, Celtics nets and sixers.
Celtics and 76ers can give the most up.

We ain't getting Tatum....not sure who else makes sense from Celtics. Don't think Nets can pull it off unless bringing in other teams and having a 3-4 team trade.

How often do you really see the disgruntled player not wind up getting what he wants?

Sure it happens every once in a while, but for the most part owners know that having a disgruntled player on the team or the optics of "punishing" a player isn't worth it in future free agency.

If Harden is going to sit out for not being traded, that ultimately means his time playing on the Team is done. This means with or without a trade, he won't be on the floor.

Rockets should hold out until an absolutely blockbuster deal. Harden not playing is a sunk cost, at this point. Put your team in the best position going forward and don't panic and take on junky players who'll make your potentially bad team only subpar.

Great in theory, but what teams do you think can give up a Blockbuster for Harden and get better?

Being a malcontent that is happy to poison the team by sitting out at strip clubs when he is supposed to be at practice generally don't get super high value in trades. He's an elite scorer, but I think his trade value is significantly lower than Houston fans think.

None right now, but it doesn't make sense to trade away your best franchise player for average Joe's if you won't be able to compete. Let it sit and see who comes calling.
