Yes, I had a friend at the game last night. He said "Let us in for friends and family night. I guess as a test for the reg season"Head Ninja In Charge said:
Was only able to catch highlights from last night but did I see fans inside Toyota??

"It just ****s up your whole organization," said one high-ranking official from a team that has pondered the Harden possibility.
"Harden is a terrific scorer, but not a champion," said another front office executive. "He isn't a two-way player and (he's) hard to play with. He is so used to getting his own way, I think there are concerns he can negatively affect a team's culture."
According to 538's RAPTOR ratings, which measures a players overall value for the year (offense and defense), you're correct as Simmons was 38th. Harden was #1 and, interestingly, Duncan Robinson was 20. Christian Wood was 50 as a part time player. That tells me that, even if the Rockets don't use that metric specifically, they do value statistical measurements and clearly statisticians like Robinson more than the average fans and Simmons less.PoppaB05 said:
Is shooting still important in basketball still?
Oh it is, gtfo with that BS Morey. Simmons is a good player but he's not even a top 30 in the league asset. Hard pass. Rockets better stop listening to Philly's calls now. Leave that sh** on read.
Simmons may change as he is still young, especially if he has good coaching. Dirk was a post season Jane, too, until he wasn't.Quote:
Simmons and Harden strike me as similar in one very important regard, I don't see either being the leader of a playoff team. They are both regular season tarzans and post season janes. If Simmons is the best you can do then take it because at least he's younger but he's not a good fit with Wall.

Gotcha. Sucks. I love Gerald
I don't think Morey would ever stop pushing for a move he thought would help his team become better. Certainly not because an agent was a dumbass. He's obviously worked with Landmark and Rich Paul for over a decade.MaxPower said:
Couple sources have also said deal with 76ers for Simmons was close but his agent effed it up. I presume that means a deal with the 76ers is dead, which isn't good from a leverage standpoint with Miami.
Might have been on Rockets side. Why move from one disgruntled star to another?Guitarsoup said:I don't think Morey would ever stop pushing for a move he thought would help his team become better. No idea what to make of that, but I'm glad there's more and more smoke.
You would not be a very smart GM then would you? Take the best offer. You have a ball club to run.MuckRaker96 said:
If I'm the GM, there are only 3 teams I consider trading Dr Beardface to: Detroit, Cleveland, and the Knicks. Screw him.
