My first thought when I saw that tweet was WTF do they have Donovon Mitchell in practice with these games scheduled like this and the minutes he's logging. Nope, they are playing the Pacers on a random Friday afternoon.

With Lakers in 7 seed, the reward for either the Jazz or Suns could be facing the Lakers in the first round, which honestly is probably a better time to face them than after they played a few games together.

I think both can be true. He is a really talented guy who can put on a show from an individual standpoint, but the stats are kind of empty when you never win anything. I would be curious to know how many of those 182 were losses.

He's going to average a triple double again this season with his highest rebound and assist average this year. It's funny that the first year he did it, he won the MVP. Now that it is the 4th time he did it, he might make 3rd team All-NBA, if at all.

I appreciate that Westbrook cares when he's on the court and always seems to play hard. I'm amazed at his energy, and I would love to see him get the Wizards to the 8 seed, win the play-in game, and match up with the Nets in the first round. I'm guessing the #9 seed is their ceiling, but if the Wizards win their play in games, he's the reason why I'd want to watch a #1 v #8 first round game. HOWEVER, he still routinely makes poor decisions that cost his team games, both offensively and defensively. I don't think it is possible to talk about Westbrook without saying, "But" or "However" or "The problem is.."

For WC playoff seeding going into the last day, only the Spurs at #10 is locked up.

For the 1 & 2 seeds. Only a Utah loss combined with Suns win puts the Suns at 1.
For the 3 & 4 seeds. Denver has tie-breaker on Clips if they tie.

Of the trio of teams sitting at 5-7, Portland is the only one that can finish in any of those spots.
Dallas can't fall to 7 and is only team to control its seeding. Lakers can't climb to 5.

In the case all finish at 42 wins, or Dallas finishes at 43 wins (with Lakers&Portland tied). Dallas #5, Portland #6, Lakers #7.
If Dallas and Lakers lose, and Portland wins (both Mavs and Port at 42 wins): Portland #5, Dallas #6, Lakers #7
If Dallas and Portland lose, and Lakers win (both Mavs and LAL at 42 wins): Dallas #5, Lakers #6, Portland #7


Winner of Memphis v GSW is the #8 seed and loser at #9
