This feels like history is going to be made on Monday...if Miami can pick themselves up off the floor after this heartbreaker and win a Game 7 in Boston, they'll deserve a lot of credit.

Imagine how Doc Rivers or Joe Mazulla would be portrayed if they had a 3-0 lead but now were going to a game 7.

Has there ever been 2x #8 seeds reach their respective finals from the same region in the same year? Has that ever been done in American sports? I suppose you can sub in making it to the Super Bowl as a wildcard team.

Then, the Heat defeated the No. 1 Milwaukee Bucks 4-1 in the first round, the No. 5 New York Knicks 4-2 in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, and the No. 2 Boston Celtics 4-3 in the Eastern Conference Finals to become the first 8th seed to reach the NBA Finals since the 1999 New York Knicks and just the second ever 8th seed to do that.

I thought the TNT crew had a down year this year because they focused a little too heavily on the jokes, but still going to miss them heading into the Finals. The ESPN studio crew sucks.

I've never been much of an NBA fan, but my two boys have gotten me to like Jokic quite a bit. We'll be watching the finals mainly to root for him.
I want Jimmy to get his ring. Miami has done the unthinkable and are 4 wins from the ship. They're the quintessential underdog in the series throughout the playoffs and are peaking at the right time.
But....
I really don't see how they beat Denver. Denver is not Boston and their best player is a big man who can shoot better than Giannis and is the best big they've played against against thus far. LA might have neutralized him a bit because of AD, but Adebayo alone isn't going to cut it.
They can't zone Denver like they did Boston; Denver, one through five can shoot from long distance.
Miami will get a couple, but I don't see them taking 4 from Denver after all this rest. Denver in 6.
