Attention all haters: Please note the players love for this man before saying something stupid and unrelated to the conversation. He is loved by the players, the fans don't have a ton to complain about.

Hating on a coach that has brought San Antonio 5 championships is just generationally stupid. That is as many championships as the other small market teams have combined, including chips from prior cities and from the 1950s. Even if you want to say that he has lost touch, I think you let a guy like that go out on his own terms unless his players want him gone.

Reading this just reinforces my previous assumption that he should officially retire. I can't imagine that it would be a good idea for him to go through the rigors of being an NBA head coach after the stroke.

If he and his doctors believe it is ok for him to return next year, he deserves to be able to go out on his own terms.

And I'm not a doctor, so obviously what I think doesn't matter. But I wonder if he would follow the doctors' advice if they recommended that he retire.

The way he talks about his kids and grandbabies, I think he would. He's a tough, stubborn donkey, he's not a jackass.

Pop has created a culture that his players and staff want him to come back. They've made it a habit of getting rid of players that are cancers, even if they can help you out in the short term (Stephen Jackson's second stint). He absolutely deserves to go out on his own terms, and when he does step away from coaching I hope he stays involved in the organization.

That was great to see Mamu go off this game.

34 points, career high
21 points in the fourth quarter

Also random that Flavor Flav was there celebrating. lol
