Ok, it's kind of better (because the last rendition was so freaking horrible) but the game format itself is going to be VERY confusing for so many, and feels dumb.


The Layout : 3 "teams".

The Teams : 2 "American" teams, 1 "International" team.

The Selection : Each team gets 8 (8 x 3 = 24 players). If any team in the 'voting' gets less than it's 8 needed players (such as only 6 International guys making it), then Adam Silver (Commish) assigns more.

The Positions : Doesn't matter anymore. Yes, your team could have 5 point guards and 3 centers. Play with what you got.

The Game Itself : This can be confusing so read it carefully -

a. 4 Quarters (regular), each 12-Minute Quarters.
b. First 3 quarters are round-robin format of each team. Each team plays twice.

• Team 1 vs Team 2
• Team 1 vs Team 3
• Team 2 vs Team 3

c. The 4th (final) quarter will be played by the 'two best teams' of the first 3 quarters, and in a case of a tie it will go to point differentials.
d. This 4th Quarter is basically the 'championship game' for one of the 3 'teams'.

Yeah, these guys got to have skin in the game or something.

Get some kind of sponsorship deal or extra publicity or something that the winning team gets all year - make it so that these guys image/wallet is improved by winning this game.

Then just go back to regular basketball.

They keep changing it every year and it never sticks.

Newsflash - your league is super successful playing 82 games a year with the "boring" version. Why not just incentivize the BEST players in that league to treat this game like game 7 of the NBA finals? People would eat it up.

I don't think the All-Star game is fixable.


The guys on the team tend to be the best and often highest paid players in the league. It's not economically feasible to incentivize these guys with money
