just wondering what those lists would have looked like 10 years ago. I never met a Mavs fan at A&M. Met plenty of Rockets and Spurs fans though.

I agree with that on the bandwaggoners. It would be funny to have an official allegiance list on the football board covering Pro Fran vs. No Fran, Pumper vs. Banger, Option vs. Hate the Option. Find the Flip-floppers.

Well, since you asked, I've been a Mavs fan since the 89-90 season. I lived through the 93 and 94 seasons where we won a combined 24 games and had such superstar players as Donald Hodge, Walter Bond, Sean Rooks, and Mike Iuzolino (sp?). I remember getting excited if we were within 10 points in the 4th quarter because it meant we'd have at least a snowball's chance in hell of winning the game. I also remember going through the schedule looking for games that we MIGHT have a chance of winning so that we wouldn't break the record for futility in a season (ah, the good old days).

So just because you "never met a Mavs fan" 10 years ago doesn't mean we didn't exist.
