I just realized Texas A&M and the Chicago Cubs are both celebrating their 150 year Sesquicentennial anniversaries.

Hoping they can keep building on winning 2 series in a row, albeit versus teams they SHOULD beat. Really should have swept the Rockies, and the fact they needed some 9th inning magic in one of those wins is kind of tempering my hope. They really need the offense to carry them until they get some of these pitchers back, but it just hasn't happened.
Baseball is weird...Nico starts the season on fire and then is basically one of the worst hitters in baseball for a good while now, statistically speaking. Bregman has lost any ability to hit for power or runners in scoring position (same for the whole team). Dansby is hitting like a borderline pitcher from 20 years ago in that 9 hole.

Kinda funny how PCA's season turned around after he cussed out the heckler sitting behind home plate.

boyd comes back today, but still brutal. What a series for dansby. One more to go but 15 rbis in 3 games and one more today. most every the mets allowed is 13.

Interesting trade they pulled off yesterday night, Peterson was an All Star last year and should be helped by playing behind the Cubs' premiere defense versus the lousy Mets (6!!!! errors last night).
