So you ignored the posts above where the Rangers performed very well against good teams.

So the Rangers are elite because they beat a few of the elite and crappy teams but lost to the other crappy teams? Solid logic.

Except of course Oakland was under 0.500 against AL playoff teams...

Again, you can play the "if this and if that" crap all day long with every team that won or lost out on a playoff spot by a narrow margin, and quickly talk them all down to being .500 teams that shouldn't have "sniffed the playoffs". It's stupid.

Yeah... I don't think you'll see many make the case that Texas was in any way "elite", but 91-win teams aren't in any way "average".

WOW... I was so trolled...

I thought this was a legitimate thread two posts in...

How quickly the agenda rises.

mhayden and that other poster whose moniker I won't post essentially had it...

It was a team that could have been made a game or two better by their front office, a game or two better by their manager, and a game or two better by their production -- but struck out on all 3.

This was an exciting season which didn't end the way I had hoped, but if you are a baseball fan, you love the game, knowing there is only 1 team whose fans will not end in disappointment.

Baseball celebrates hitters who fail 70+% of the time. So, it shouldn't catch anyone by surprise that their team doesn't win the WS.

It is disappointing that Houston fans show themselves as above. I won't engage in that with them... they really aren't relevant to respond to.

As for who the Rangers beat... Every team plays the games on the schedule. Cleveland went 17-2 against the CHW. Add the Hou 6-1, and you are at 23-3.

But that was just an attempt to jab at the Rangers.

Looking forward to 2014. The Rangers will be right back at it, with just a few holes to fill, and many players not even getting into their prime - Profar (20), Perez (22)... LOTS to be excited about if you are a Rangers fan, even if the season didn't end the way we all wanted!

Just hope the Astroids can become a decent club soon so they can break the strangle-hold the Texas team has on FSNSW.
