Move Profar to 2nd, move Kinsler to OF,
I think that was the conventional wisdom. I think there is merit there, however, Kinsler, IMO, has more value as a 2B, on the market. At his salary, you can justify the cost, but not as an OF. That was the deal with Soriano. I could see moving Kinsler to 3B, and moving Beltre to DH, as having more upside.
Inserting Profar... or trading one of Profar\Kinsler\Andrus, IMO has the most upside.

put that new Cuban kid at 1st.
That has certainly been on tons of radars, but not lately... I've gotta remember to keep that in mind.

Why not Lewis in that 5th spot?
Lewis is a FA. He is certainly one I could see the Rangers resigning. Even if a charity event, like 2013 was. Throwing out the 1st pitch last night was a nice addition. Keep in mind, not only did he have arm surgery... they went ahead and did his hip, as well. I don't see him being much of a contributor in 2014. He and Harrison are huge unknowns to us fans.

Ian has not been very obliging about moving to the outfield.
I think originally he was... then reality set in. Like MYoung, he may ultimately move... but I suspect maybe not. Maybe we can trade him to LAAA so he can reunite with Hamilton. Kinsler does really well when he plays within his ability and plays what is given to him. When he tries to play hero he pops the ball up and frustrates the fans, the team and himself. Him getting picked off last night adds to a long list of reasons Rangers fans are souring on him. They soon won't be able to trade him. They need to do it soon after Cano signs with the Rangers. Maybe to NYY or Philly.

Maybe we could sign Cano and put Profar at SS with Cano and trade Andrus+Kinsler to NYY.
