Im kinda a nerd myself. I've been to about half the parks in MLB.

All I know is that I used to make 10-20 games a year in person and watch at least another 100 on TV. I've seen 3 Astro games in person since 2008 and watched them maybe 30-40 times on TV.

And I don't miss it one bit. If it wasn't for Fantasy Baseball, I couldn't even tell you who was on what team.
