The season long swoon continues.

2 back to back walk off homers by Adams and Wong. Took the last three vs. a surging pirates team. Things looking better offensively. Injuries are concerning. Hopefully all star break brings some nice and needed rest!

Had a great time at Busch last night. It was Star Wars night. Hated to see the young Jedi Yadi hurt sliding into 3rd.

Didn't Obi-Wan Fredbird teach him that nothing good ever comes from a head first slide?!?

Molina out 8-12 weeks with torn ligament

He was on 2nd base with a double and took off for third when the SS didn't bother to look him back on a ground ball. Very heads up, but I hate the head first slide.

He slid feet first, no. Drug the hand when you're taught to keep hands raised in case of cleats, etc.

On another note. Four jacks last night including Holliday's go ahead HR in the ninth. One game out of first with Waino getting the start!

And John Lackey is on the way.

Allen Craig and Joe Kelly to Boston.

Not sure this is a good trade for STL?!?

Not that I'm stoked about the trades but the positives are Craig can change scenes and possibly find form in AL. Lackey costs only 500k next season. Taveras can get his chance to start everyday and he jacked a HR in first at bat today. Both pitchers are veterans and can give more innings consistently than Kelly.

Kelly (hurt majority)and Craig both struggled. I hate to see em go especially Craig since now I need a new cardinals jersey and have to retire his. Good luck to em both.

Masterson wasn't on his game for his first start, however the offense shone and we came out on top. Lackey was great and we stole a win in the 7th. Here's to hoping the trend of W's with them on the mound continues.

Holliday and the offense has come alive vs. CHC in the last two games. If the Giants hold on, the Cards pull in a tie at the top of the NL Central with the brew crew.

They've been fun to watch lately. 6 in a row, stretch the lead to 4 games as the Brewers have now lost 9 straight.

It was good to see Wacha back on the mound.

Massive, massive come from behind win last night over the Brewers to get our magic # down to 8.

Scored two in the 8th to tie and then got out of multiple jams in extras to finally win it in the 13th.

The Brewers are just about done.

Nothing like clinching on the last day of the season.

The Cardinals scored 164 less runs than last year and won 7 less games but still won the division.

Gonna be a tough first series with the Dodgers.

I spent last night in Kansas City and had an epiphany watching the news at the hotel. The Royals are Rickey Henderson to the Cardinals Nolan Ryan (i.e. perpetual b*tch).

The people on the newscast were talking about wearing hair and fashion from 1985 to celebrate the Royals making the post-season for the first time in 29 years. The Cardinals have made it four years in a row. The Royals won 89 games this year. The Cards won 90. The Royals got a wild card. The Cardinals won their division. Billy Butler was interviewed on the news last night. He is excited about playing in front of 40k tomorrow night at "The K." During the Cards radio broadcast yesterday, John Rooney announced that they had already sold 44k to the first home game against the Dodgers and "more than 40k" for the 2nd home game, which might not even be played.
