Not if you believe in statistics as the key to determining value.

I just don't think he's going to be able to put together those kind of stats again. I thought he was older than 30 so he's still got time to prove me wrong.

Thanks for the link though thats an interesting website... How exactly do they rank the players?

There you go. That's much different than "he's overrated".

He's rated pretty appropriately for the time being. Another year like last year and that will obviously change.

The order they're listed in is based on their WAR.

With 4/5's of our infield out.

Mix in the missing pitching, and This team is in survival mode and not in position to be judged yet.

I wasn't firing shots Danny.. Just saying y'all aren't driving the ball in very efficiently either.

I know. I'm just saying there's a reason for it and I wouldn't get carried away evaluating the team over it. The patchwork lineup isn't efficient. I don't think we're going to find many surprised by that.

Kouz (3B) is 32 and played 46 games in 2011. That was his last MLB experience. He didn't make the team out of ST and got a minor league role.

Donnie Murphy (2B) is 31 and never played more than 52 games in a season.

Wilson (SS) is 33 with 393 GP in his career, highlighted by the 105 in 2007 and 108 in 2010. Played 60 in 2011, 0 in 2012, 30 in 2013.

Either Wilson or Murphy was cut in 2014 ST by Toronto (IIRC). He didn't make their team, but was promptly our starting 2B.

Chirinos is 29 with 38 Career GP... counting his 5 this season.

Choice (LF) is 24 had 18 ABs coming into this season.

5 of the 8 position players are really not what you would call Major League players.

Welp good series I guess.... More sucky offenses than "pitchers duels"
See y'all in may.

1982 was the last time the Rangers won two games 1-0 in a series.

I'm loving me some NL baseball.

Happy with 0.500 at this point... Biggest fear is that the hurt guys aren't going to return to decent form.

If Beltre missed a good chunk of games this year, this offense isn't capable enough to win 90 with a rotation of Yu/Perez and 3 question marks.

Well, question mark no 1 gets the start tomorrow.

Colby going tomorrow.

Fielder will get it going.

As is... the team is going to hit 81 Wins.

That's without Beltre and Soto and Profar.

We'll be fine.

Yu, Perez, and Ross have done their jobs so far.

Surely there's one other pitcher that can pick up the slack for a while. Scheppers has improved, so it could be him. Or Colby could step in. Maybe Harrison?

We don't need 5 killers to compete in this league.

With the offense in the current state you do.

If Beltre goes down for any extended period of time -- which would not be that far out of the ordinary based on his history -- this team will be in a world of hurt.

Beltre's a beast at battling through the leg issues. He'll be back shortly. He'll hobble around the bases, but he'll drive he ball and drive in runs.
