Not much of a Biggio fan, since he played mostly in the NL, I don't know him.

I don't know that I've ever chimed in on one of the hundreds of "Biggio + Hall of Fame" threads on whether or not he deserves to be in, or whether or not I think he should be. I'm sure I had commented.

Having said all of that...

I am very happy for Astros fans. I know this was a huge deal for you and for him. If only for having the strongest and most loyal fans, he probably deserves being in. ;-)

Congrats to both Biggio and his fans.

After Nolan stiffed us, it's nice to have an Astro in the HOF

Uh, Nolan was asked to take a pay cut by John McMullen after leading the league in strikeouts in back to back seasons. How odd he should not be nice.

I'm not saying Houston wasn't at fault. But we made him the first million dollar man, longest tenure and are basically his hometown team.
Im looking for Ray Finkle.... and a clean pair of shorts. Im just a very big Finkle fan. This is my Graceland, sir.

That doesn't matter he only won 51 games in five years with the Rangers the HOF shouldn't have let him pick a Rangers hat for his plaque just because he left Houston pissed off. I always laugh when I tell younger people that because they think he won a bunch of his over 300 wins with Arlington, he didn't. It would've made more sense for him to wear a Astros, Angels or Mets hat on his plaque before Arlington.

it was Nolan's 8 years with the California Angels that got him to the Hall of Fame.

particularly his 1972, 1973, and 1974 seasons: 62 wins, 1,079 K's, and 3 no-hitters

He was the best by far with the Angels, but with TV expanding so much in the 1990s, a lot more people became aware of Nolan in the 90s with the Rangers: 6th no-hitter, 7th no-hitter, oldest with 300 strikeouts, oldest to start the All-Star game, 5,000th strikeout, etc.

At least the Astros made up for it by signing Jim Clancy for us.
