Season starts tomorrow

There seems to be some dissension that we are using ER rather than ERA. Can't say I'm a big fan but i don't care at the end of the day. Can it even be changed?

I'm sure that it can, but I also don't want to change it then somebody lose because of the rule change when they already won. I'll try and check it tomorrow and see if it can be changed and if it will effect win/loss

I'll do what I can. As of now it won't even give me the option to change anything. Once the rosters unlock in the morning I'll try again.

Scoring appears to be locked. I tried to change it but under the commissioner settings the scoring link is grayed out and unclickable.

I tried to post on the league message board, but kept getting an error message, so I'll post here.

The 'hold' category doesn't seem to be working. Does yahoo even track that stat? I'd suggest switching that to 'era' or something else if possible.


edit to add: I take that back. I guess yahoo does track that. I see that gigemaggie12 has a hold this week.

It's not really a stat that is gonna come around very often.... You have starters and closers.. I didn't even realize we were tracking that

I was asked by multiple people before and during the draft to add holds so I did. I just started looking through players on FA that had acquired holds and added them. I haven't paid enough attention to every matchup to realize that nobody was getting points for holds.

I got your message four times.

We already have owners that have stopped keeping up with the league. Can't understand how someone commits to a league and only 3 weeks into the season, they stop keeping up. If you know the following owners can someone give them a swift kick in the ass

Guilty. The end of the semester is keeping me crazy busy. I'll step it up guys.

I spend appx 30 seconds on my team every day. Everyone has 30 seconds to keep their commitment.

Well I'm sorry a couple classes have been kicking my butt and I don't always remember. I'll do better though.

Kick their butt back. Classes are more important than some fantasy league. Im also at home with newborn twins so I have spare time at 3am while we are feeding them.

My previous post was more for encouragement in finding time. But after rereading it I came across as a jerk. My bad.

If anyone here wants to join a daily texags fanduel league, we have one starting at 6:00. $2 entry. 5 spots (one available), top 3 win ($4, $3, $2).

I also thought that Earned Runs and Holds were odd categories. I've been in alot of leagues and we have always used ERA and WHIP but the scoring categories were set before the draft so everyone had the same information at draft time. I drafted my team based the scoring categories we are using. If you used the autodraft you probably did not get players that are a good fit for these categories.

Well I had a catcher and my number 2 pick go on the DL a couple days after the draft which is beyond frustrating. Then add in the fact that my number 1 pick (mccutchen) is playing absolutely terrible. I drafted Dee Gordon for steals and Carter for home runs and neither are producing either stat. Add in the fact that David wright has been on the DL for a month now and you can see where my team is struggling. I think I'll snap out of it eventually but who knows. It's been rough to say the least. I've been trying to work the wire but there's not much to choose from.

And designated drinker is a personal friend of mine. When I asked him about it he said he was frustrated because half his team was hit with injuries at once. It's a bummer but I can't force someone to play when they don't have the drive to do so

As I've said multiple times, I was asked by multiple people that holds should be added so I added them. As far as earned runs is concerned that was a **** up on my part. I was under the impression that earned runs WAS era. Seems silly that they would have two separate stats for that. My bad. Whip would have been a good one. Wish I would have thought of that

My team is healthy and they suck. It's still keeps me entertained.
