Gustave, a 22-year-old righty, was said at one point in the spring to have a decent chance at breaking camp with the Royals, who would have needed to keep him on the active roster all year to gain control over him in the future. Now, any team can claim him and step into his Rule 5 rights. If he goes unclaimed, Gustave will be offered back to Houston.

He's reporting to minor leagues. Nothing has changed with his development.

Players on the 40 man have to be moved around differently than those who arent.

Thanks! I got a score alert saying Correa and others had been "cut from camp". I figured there would be no way in heck the Astros would cut him but when you see that word you become alarmed.

There was no way Correa was going to start the season in the majors. I'd expect that he may be called up in September if everything goes according to plan. However if Lowrie has a poor season and Correa looks good in the farm system, he may be called up earlier. However, after seeing Singleton struggling, they may try and keep Correa in the minors until they're sure he's ready
