No idea what the facts are, but given the League's history with this (i.e Pete Rose), it doesn't bode well for Darvish

I have no idea of the facts either, but did see a snippet from OTL. Yu is not accused of anything and is not suspected of anything. MLB is simply doing some due diligence.

Pete Rose's situation was a little more hairy than having a brother halfway across the world bet $3k on a small number of games in which he was on the DL.

Not disagreeing with that. I even said I don't know all the details. I'm just saying it may not just be a slap on the wrist if he is found guilty of this accusation

What accusation exactly? He isn't being accused of anything.

He's simply being investigated because someone so close to him is involved. It's due diligence. Not he's being accused and now we've got prove him guilty.

I just assumed Houston Summit was trolling.

If Darvish was implicated in a baseball gambling ring I don't think anyone on the forums thinks it would amount to a "slap on the wrist".

But anyone who actually read the report knows Darvish isn't anywhere near being implicated in anything, just standard operating procedure from the MLB and attention grabbing headlines.

I read "he" and assumed they were talking about Yu, not his brother. Looks like the joke is on me this round

$150,000, even at 10% vig is only $15,000... What's **** move by his brother. Yu needs to let him know just how serious it could have been...
