How did you come to that conclusion? I'm just saying that I like having the game mean something. If you don't like this format, you must have really hated the alternating home field that MLB used to have, and if you're a baseball purist, that should be what you want it to go back to. Until 2002, home field was determined by nothing more than the last digit of the year. So, in essence, MLB has never really cared about the WS either by your logic.
