I wasn't going to provide any feedback unsolicited. The pos's who did it will never be allowed through the door again. When they got thrown out the fans applauded the security guards. The organization and community rejected it completely and AJ got a very long standing the next day with the pitcher stepping off the mound to give him as much as he could to pay back into what he is owed. Sale can't change what happened but he gave Boston fans the chance to show that those *******s are a small fraction of the fan base and they don't speak for them.

As much as people want to say that this is racism it is not racism. It is classlessness. Those same fans would have NEVER said the same stuff to Papi, Paul Pierce, Blount etc. They did it to heckle an opposing player and they absolutely crossed every possible line that can be crossed. I wish it didn't happen, but half of the human population is below average intelligence. Half is below average classiness; half have below average levels of manners, below average levels of hygiene etc. They checked all the boxes on their way out.

Yeah the Sox handled it well after the fact...my comment was more about the impression I get of how Sox fans as a group think so highly of the actual fandom...not inclusive of the all the bandwagon folks who have simply bought a hat over the past decade.

I think Boston might be the best baseball town in the country but the fans, in my experience, can just get way to into "being from Boston" for me. I think St. Louis fans have been the nicest I've met in my limited baseball travels. I have not been to every baseball town yet although I'm getting closer.

Honestly, I think that is a function of younger people who've only known Boston as a "city of championships" and that is across all sports. People identify with their sports teams, for better or worse. If you see the all-sports run that Boston has had for the entirety of this century, you'll see a generation of sports fans that think they had something to do with it because they live here. They don't remember the century long drought from the Sox and half century of futility of the Pats. It is foreign to them, so they act like they had something to do with the success which is just as ridiculous as people like me thinking that the Sox and Pats suckage was my fault (at least we had the Celtics).

I really wish I could trust Farrell to keep this train rolling. But, I don't.

The pitching is really solid at this point. The only thing he can screw up is the lineup. He could cost the team a few wins, but it would be hard to completely destroy what they have.

Sox bullpen is blowing this game!!!! Yanks haven't hit at all this game and the bullpen comes in and quickly blows a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the 8th!

This bullpen is making it look easy for the Yankees that is.

And just like that Chapman walks the bases loaded with nobody out in the top of the 9th!

And the Sox RUN themselves out of the game.
