Mills is an idiot as a manager. If he wanted to get everybody in he could have spread it out a little bit. Instead he's exhausted his bench with 2.5 innings to go. So guys in the middle of his rotation got an inning. Guys at the end are getting as much as the starters.

This is more my complaint. Make sure everyone gets to the plate and gets an inning in the field, but manage to win the game. It's just not fun to watch otherwise.

Well, that seems to have been the opposite of mathguy's point. I can only assume it's got 4 stars because people hate Mills, because basically everybody is getting 3 innings, and most exactly 4.5

When players are wearing mics, giving interviews mid-pitch, and taking pictures with the home plate umpire, it's kind of hard to say anything about how someone is managing the game...

He gave the top end of the lineup starters except Judge and Springer their min of 3 and took them to out pull that off. At the back end he's now got reserves that will likely end up with more PT than the starters. He managed to get everyone equal time rather than getting his better players more time to get a chance to win.
