Had a lot of fun watching last night. My wife gets in to baseball way more than football so was enjoyable on multiple fronts.

Admittedly though, since I get in to football way more than baseball, hard for me to follow a full season.

With that being said and with being new to the MLB forum, have some questions:

1. Saw multiple people say Lance was pitching mad to finish the game. Why is that? Cause of all the curveballs or just his demeanor compared to how he normally is?

2. Is Kate Upton good luck on this board? And if so, why (besides the fact that she's a ****in 10)?

3. Velander who received MVP for this series was mentioned he almost never made it on the 'Stros and was last minute. So how long has he been on the team and will he be here for the foreseeable future?

4. For those at the game in the moment....Minute Maid > Kyle? Sure as hell seemed like every soul in the stadium was 100% invested the entire time and on their feet.

5. Fan winning habits that need to continue into WS? I watch from home, my dad goes to Center Court Pizza off 1093, and I have friends that refuse to shave.

my thought on game 7...

I give credit to Hinch and Girardi for managing the game (what's the word I'm looking for) um, professionally.

The game last night did not turn into the helter skelter mess that Francona and Maddon created last year in game 7 of the world series. That was very poor panic-driven managing at its worst

Do not talk about the baby girl. She was magnificent and did her job to perfection.

1. Saw multiple people say Lance was pitching mad to finish the game. Why is that? Cause of all the curveballs or just his demeanor compared to how he normally is?Lance is a great pitcher with some great "stuff". If he was consistent and healthy he would be considered a Cy Young contender. His curveball is a top 2 curveball in the game (with Kershaw from LA). That being said, he can implode mentally sometimes if he's a bit tired and runners get on. His MO is 4-5 clean innings, then a clunker where a leadoff walk leads to several bad pitches and all of a sudden 3-4 runs (you'll notice how both Correa and McCann cane and talked to him several times in the 8th/9th inning). He gets mad at himself and loses focus. He didn't do that this entire series (go watch game 4 too). He took the moment and made it enhance his focus. He channeled the anger into one hell of a performance. We feel like he turned a corner this series. If our top 3 get going like Lance was against the Yankees, they're likely better than anyone in baseball.

2. Is Kate Upton good luck on this board? And if so, why (besides the fact that she's a ****in 10)?She's dating Verlander, enough said.

3. Velander who received MVP for this series was mentioned he almost never made it on the 'Stros and was last minute. So how long has he been on the team and will he be here for the foreseeable future? He joined at the waiver trade deadline at the end of August. Under 30 seconds before he wouldn't have been on the team. He's back next year as well.

4. For those at the game in the moment....Minute Maid > Kyle? Sure as hell seemed like every soul in the stadium was 100% invested the entire time and on their feet.Playoff baseball is a different animal. Especially with a closed roof. Fewer fans and likely not as loud, but if all 100,000+ in Kyle yelled full-time like people were in MMP (or got equally as drunk), very few would come win in Aggieland. Tough to compare, but Kyle is still louder. That being said, laser focus is much more important in baseball, and the crowd is much closer. I feel like the impact at MMP was higher.

5. Fan winning habits that need to continue into WS? I watch from home, my dad goes to Center Court Pizza off 1093, and I have friends that refuse to shave.I used to do this stuff but this team doesn't care. They're gonna make the WS one hell of a series and may just win the whole damn thing.
Welcome. You're a bandwagon fan but you own it. You married a good woman who hopefully gets you more excited about baseball.

Kyle is probably louder (it also holds 60k more) but I went to 3 playoff games so far this postseason and I kept saying it felt like going to a game at Kyle Field. I've been really really impressed by the fans at Minute Maid this postseason. Place has been amped and a ton of fun. World Series is going to be crazy.
