Didn't he start off similar last year then hit like 20 hrs in August. I remember there was a 2-3 week stretch where he was just absolutely insane with multiple multiple hr games.

Looks like he had 18 homers in August, including 11 in a 12 game stretch...crazy.

it's a good time to update this thread...

Giancarlo had a grand total of 59 at-bats in 2019 (plus 7 in the postseason).

he made $26 MM in 2019 and will make another $26 MM in 2020. His contract climbs to $32 MM in a few more years

His contract is about as dumb as the Harper and Pujols contracts

I think part of the reason the Yankees traded for him was a gamble that he would opt out of his heavily backloaded contract. I don't see that happening, he's going to be on their books for a while.
