On the plus side we have one of the fastest guys in baseball to run in that situation.
Agreed - this is a perfect opportunity to try out certain ideas that have been thrown around but at the end of the game, the box score should balance up.DVC2010 said:Farmer1906 said:

I'd honestly rather see draws after nine. I can tolerate something weird in an unusual season. I can't tolerate violating the surprisingly robust accounting of baseball.
Yep. And if Ted is already in the game, we can use Straw... who is also fast.Farmer1906 said:

From last year's results, we'll play 3 teams with winning records (LAD, OAK, AZ). Everyone else was 68-78 win range. I don't think OAK or AZ will be as good, but LAA may take a step forward. LADshould be really good again.
Good news is they are still loose from the cheating scandal so it wont be as bad this time aroundHulla Baller said:Farmer1906 said:

How are the divisions going to be set up? I am really curious how the scheduling is going to work. I can only assume we are going to get the shaft from MLB.

Divisions are going to be the normal ones.
10 each against divisional foes (40)
4 each against each interleague opponent (don't know if one opponent will be split 2-2 home/away...seems like we do that with either the Rockies or the Diamondbacks every year).
It would make sense to do 5 game series with division opponents to limit traveling.

I'm confused... so do we get to beat the Yankees again before the postseason? Or is it just the 4 divisional teams and interleague against 5 NL neighbors... assuming that would be the Padres, Dodgers, Giants, Rockies and Diamondbacks?

We need to go at least 15-5 against the Rangers and Mariners
The dodgers and A's will be tough
