the front office needs to take advantage of the fact that Lindor hits free agency too next season.

I'd rather them get out in front and extend him before the season starts. Get it out of the way, let him play with a contract, and keep things rolling.

An extension in house will almost always be lower than what he'll get on the open market. Who's to say the Mets don't prefer Correa over Lindor?

The fact that 3 career Astros are in the top 10 in career postseason homeruns feels weird to think about.
I'm not putting any stock in that Rosenthal story.
Correa may sign elsewhere, but the Astros are definitely going to make a very hard run to keep them

It makes a difference but not as big of one as you may think. They pay taxes based on where the game is played. So Astros have to pay CA taxes when playing Oakland and LAA. Although who knows, CA may try to tax even more.
If we trade CC, I'd become a Rangers fan. Ok, never mind, I just threw up in my mouth a little.
