I just did this earlier on my Roku. You can create an apple id. The first login in Roku, it'll ask you about settting up a trial, just ignore that. Scroll down a little and you'll hit the Friday night baseball thing.

Okay. I found that if you try to set up an Apple ID or account through the Roku or through the AppleTV+ webpage it will still not let you set up the Apple ID unless you first put in payment information... which I absolutely refuse to do.

I found this workaround though, I think. At the link below choose the link "Create an Apple ID on a Windows PC" and it allowed me to create an account without setting up payment information.

I'm now going to try logging into the AppleTV+ app on our Roku TV with this new account info and see if it lets me in. Reporting back momentarily...

So it let me successfully enter the log in credentials for this new Apple ID account, but then instead of sending me in to the app so I could locate the free stuff to watch... it kicked me to this screen.

Update: Spent the last half hour or more trying to figure out how to set up my new Apple ID as an I-tunes store account with no luck so far.....

Last Update, then I promise to stop littering the thread with this crap!

This is how I was finally able to break through the logjam and get inside the AppleTV+ app on the Roku TV:

1) I downloaded the i-tunes app for Windows PC on my computer.
2) I opened the i-tunes app and entered the newly created Apple ID credentials.
3) Since it was the first time I opened the app it asked me to go through the initial setup/login process, and I followed the instructions until I got to the personal info entry.
4) I had to enter billing address info, phone number... it would not let me bypass that part.
5) The next field asked for payment info. Thankfully there was a box where I could choose "none" instead of one of the credit card options. I selected "none" and hit "continue" which finished setting up my new Apple ID account in the I-tunes store.
6) Opened Apple TV+ app in Roku TV and inputted Apple ID credentials and it finally let me fully inside the app, from there the link to the free baseball games is super easy to find.

Out of a sense of propriety I am refraining from any more commentary in regard to this entire process at this time.
