I wonder if the shift being disallowed has hurt Perez more than most given his ability to get ground balls. Take away the shift and all of a sudden a lot of pulled ground balls or towards the middle find the outfield.

This is my issue though. He's being asked to be a really solid, give us a chance every outing number three starter, and we're getting a back end of the rotation performances every outing right now.
