I was able to answer one of my nagging questions today: Does a team that changed cities and names still count for the team displayed in the game? I used Moises Alou as the answer to today's Nationals/Cubs square even though he played for the Expos instead of the Nationals.

Ugh: 6/9 today. I can see that the Rays are going to be a problem for me in this game.
The Rays are one of the most difficult teams to deal with. Expansion draft offered some of the most variability. Otherwise, you have to lean heavily on relievers and their tendency to be well-travelled.
I think everyone inherently agrees that searching players and stats for this exercise is cheating (no Baseball-Reference), but I will look at present rosters of teams on mlb.com to help jog my memory of bullpens and see if I can remember their movement patterns. For example, I forgot that Eflin was a Blue Jay this year, but as soon as I saw his name on their roster I knew he was a Phillie last year and got a square. I am not sure if others consider that cheating.

I peruse current rosters but yes, BBREF is a no-no IMO
I'd consider using any source "cheating"
Most of the time I use that as a spoiler free way of remembering names to type them in. I often can think of the guy, the career, the stats, and the name escapes me.
