Pop up a first pitch fastball 85' to end a good inning. I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't seen it hundreds of times this year.

Boch is a damn moron. Not sure how many times he needs to see Leclerc shut it down for an inning just to get smashed the next. It's happened all year.
worst manager in history. bring back Woodward! amirite?

2nd game in a row, Boch leaving a bullpen pitcher in too long has cost them.

Not saying that at all but Boch's regular season record speaks for itself. Great postseason manager but a .500 regular season for whatever reason.

There are so many guys on this team I'd like to not see next year.

Is Boch purposely throwing this season? I don't understand these bullpen decisions at all

Looked like he was just being overly cautious. Weird considering his speed.

Put up a fight. Get deGrom some starts, give semien and seager some rest and get ready for next season!

so going forward…. Is Adolis tradeable? What pieces do the Rangers have moving forward……. new hitting coach or did the players just say FU, we just won the WS I will do whatever Iwant???? Hard to account for such a crazy falloff offensively!

I think the biggest issue that this team has had is no Josh Jung or Evan Carter. If you have both of them it is a completely different offensive team.

I think they need to move on from Adolis, but seriously doubt they will.

It's a combination of bad luck, guys having career years last year, injuries, and just being worn out IMO. Heim caught all last year and the entire playoffs (except when he was injured when Garver stepped in and basically saved the season). Semien had the most at bats in the history of MLB last year. Seager started the year injured and took time to get back to his normal self.

Garcia best we can hope for is he figures it out. He's under contract for next year and doubt we can get much for him. Nothing nearly what it's worth when he's on. Wouldn't be surprised to see us trade Duran. Would have said the same about Leody not long ago but with Carter's back and Garcia's inconsistency (and one more year under contract) I don't really see that happening. I guess I'd caveat that with Smith's emergence you still could trade Leody and be okay in the outfield.

What do we do with Duran and Taveras? Both young guys that we thought would improve. We just going to stick with them since they are cheap or try to get an upgrade this offseason?
Flounder Dorfman

You keep them both. They're young players and it's not a straight line on improving. I don't like giving up on young players because they aren't playing like veterans.

Unless you can package them for an immediate upgrade somewhere, but that takes a package including prospects and our farm system needs to be rebuilt. We can't really afford to trade potentially productive players right now.

I know some will disagree in this day and age, but the Rangers are going to the White House today, and I think it's awesome.

One more traditional acknowledgement of champions

We should've traded both of them earlier than where we are at now, but I'm with Flounder. I think you keep them and just make them play out their contracts etc. at this point.

I semi-agree with Tksymm7 and Flounder, with this disclaimer.

IMO, you keep them around if they have options - or if you're prepared to DFA them if they don't produce. I don't agree with the notion, and never will, that you let an underperforming player stick around because you hope they'll figure it out eventually. I've been a Tavares supporter in the past, but he needs to get his crap together fast, or be content with being the 4th OF and being the younger version of Janko.

This organization needs to get past the mentality of sticking with the Joey Gallo's and Rougned Odor's of the world because they put together one solid season.

That all sounds great in theory but you can't just snap your fingers and get a better player. You have to give young players time to figure it out and improve, knowing that they could regress, stay where they are or just never pan out.

Taveras is a great example. He hasn't changed much from last year, but he has started just about every game in CF while Garcia has been horrible and Carter has been hurt. 25 years old, under control for several more years and has a ton of potential. If you get rid of him, who comes in to replace him?

I'll answer my own question. It's Langford/Carter/Garcia next year and I don't feel good about Carter's health or Garcia's ability. Or we pick up some 30 something journeyman on a one year contract.

And I need to change my handle on here but too lazy to do it. Don't even remember why I picked this one. It's the name of the fat boy in Animal House, for those that don't know.

I think at some point you just get what you can for Adolis and then go with Langford/Carter/Tevares.

Pitching, really need DeGrom to get to rehab starts and pitch in September. Then a full regular off season.

Anybody who doesn't know who Flounder is needs to do themselves a favor tonight (it's an off day for the Rangers) and watch Animal House!

Doubtful Garcia gets traded this off-season . He is under contract for 2025 for $9.25M, and you'd likely have to send some money with him to get somebody to take him at this point... unless he quickly reverts to playoff mode Garcia again.
