I think they saw how last year went for them - they started the season, and performed halfway through the season, pretty darn well - and are building on that.

Couple that with the division appearing fairly weak and it's pretty clear to me they think they can win without spending an arm and a leg.

I agree that Parades could be an offensive weapon for us. Hopefully he won't hit as many pop up's and/or double plays to kill rallies like Bregman did last season. And hope he's faster than Breggy.
Don't get me wrong - I loved Breggy and his contributions to the Astros success the last several years but he was extremely frustrating to watch at the plate in 2024.
