The bullpen is a concern, but we've got guys rehabbing that can step in and help. We also hopefully have a starter or two coming back that can strengthen the pen.

We are starting to see signs of life on offense from some guys. I feel like Yordan has 2-3 bombs if this series was in Houston. He's seeing it better.

Sometimes a big win can jumpstart a team. Sometimes a gut wrenching loss can do the same. There's a lot of season left to play. If last season taught us anything, it's that the first couple of weeks of the season doesn't decide your fate.

Well at least the day wasn't a total loss. My 403b stopped pissing away money today.

Offense and pen both look worse than last year and the division may not be won with 88 this time around.

Every other team in the league has managed to out-slug this one playing roughly the same number of games, so "it's early" is purely academic.

We've been blowing winnable games in Seattle for a while now, and I'm sick of losing to them. It's an embarrassment to the organization for what happened today.

This team has no fire or fight in them.

Take on the personality of their manager

Reminds me a lot like the start of last season.

Lack of offense especially with RISP and a BP that's all sorts of out of whack with guys pitching out of their lane.

Espada factors into losses entirely too often for a manager and rarely impacts winning. This series was a microcosm…he ultimately tried to manage them into a sweep and they were able to pull one out in spite of him.

Are you gonna act like it's not perfectly justified to think Cintron/Snitker are absolutely terrible?

The only reason they weren't fired after the 2022 season is b/c the team caught fire in October.

The offense has gradually gotten worse every year since and despite the obvious writing on the wall…they were retained this offseason.

That's where my questions about the FO and Espada start…if you know you have Diabetes, you don't start chugging Sunny D. Cintron/Snitker have zero business being employed 12 months ago and at this point, their presence with the club is a sign of general failing health.

…and yes, making this about them after the bullpen s*** their pants is totally acceptable. That game shouldn't have even been in-reach…but once again, just awful situational hitting and poor approaches with RISP combining for small villages being LOB. You lose a game 7-6 that should've been 10-0 before they ever started trying to rally.

I hate baseball

All I'm gonna say is if we are .500 or less in July the brass needs to be very aggressive with acquiring young talent. I don't care if we are only 2 games out of first in a trash division, we are past the goal of eeking into the playoffs to be first round cannon fodder. Let the Mariners or A's have those kinds of Mickey Mouse victories and aim to build for something bigger in the future.

I would absolutely not say this to someone in baseball operations off this board if you want to be taken seriously.

This is a laughably bad take that keeps getting repeated like it's true.

Complete meltdown by the bullpen. Six walks. Six ****ing walks! You can't continue to give even ****ty teams the opportunities.

Bullpen pitchers will very frequently credit their bullpen catchers for their success or catching things in their mechanics.

Who are the top bullpen catchers in the league not named Javier Bracamonte?

Who are the top scouts in the league? Can you name them?

Without Googling, you can't…that's doesn't mean that these guys aren't huge factors in overall success.

Y'all are too hard on coaches and not hard enough on players.

If they have so little impact that they can't be blamed when a team has an anemic offense, why do we even have them? And why do we need two of them?
