The ironic thing is how much of a better position we are in than last year, relatively speaking. Do I think this team will have a similar 180 into contention this year? Leaning towards no, but the wildcard bubble could be more open, whereas last year it was division or bust.

I actually have a theory that kind of turns the 2019/2022 argument against firing them on its ear. The 2019/2022 theory says that given good players, Cintron and Snitker made them a juggernaut. And with lesser talent there is only so much they can do. The flipside of that is that we had such talent on offense those years that anybody could have been the hitting coach and made them a juggernaut, and without those stars in the lineup, the limitations of Cintron and Snitker are being exposed.

I am ready to fire them and find out which is real. If they get snapped elsewhere and immediately make them better, I am ready to eat that crow.

You know it's a good game when you're able to double your hit count with 1 swing in the 7th inning.
