Looking ahead, that is certainly encouraging for 2026.
Rocker and Latz are probably the top internal options.

Corbin has made $156M. He went 47-77 in Washington with the bulk of that money. His 1st two season were decent. The last 4 seasons, Washington had 97, 107, 91, and 91 Losses.

At 36, he can likely get a 2-3 year deal. He has shown very durable. IIRC, he signed with Texas because the opportunity to win. In most cases, I'd say a player won't give a home-town discount. However, you have to believe the beat down of the Wash rebuild is draining. Not saying we'll get him for $1M, but worth having a chat.

I've like what Kelly has given. He is likely gone. He has $38M... a WS appearance and he'll be 37. I could see him getting a decent contract.

I'd pencil Bradford in '27.

I think CY generally picks up a couple retreads, and with any luck we'll get a blue bird, ala, Lorenzen, Corbin.

The more and more I hear about rocker, the less I expect to see him with the big club next year. They're treating him like Jack out in Arizona and we shall see how his offseason goes. They were livid with how out of shape he was when he reported.

As for Corbin, he was on the scrap heap because of his last few years in DC. Those teams were bad and he had zero help behind him. Coupled with the long ball it was bad. The DLLS guys said he projects at a two for twenty deal this off season. Something to be said about a guy you know is out there every fifth day.

Kelly is definitely gone because someone will pony up.

IMO, he's earned consideration.

He has 5 GS this year. 68.2 IP.

This was his 1st back-to-back GSs. In most of his 5 GS, he was a late announcement. I'd like to see him get 2 more GS following this one, to see how the book on him develops.

Biggest question of the offseason is what's the budget? If we really did reset the CBT, then hopefully we blow through it. DeGrom, Nate, Seager don't have a huge window. Kelly could be in play.

I was going to say 2-3 $10-15M per for Corbin, so in line with what you posted.

I don't know anything about Rocker and Az. He has plenty hutzpah, so wouldn't surprise me he might be a little entitled and need a wake up.

We're currently projected at $164M on a CBT number of $244M.

That's about $79M wiggle room.

That doesn't include our Arbs:

Arb3: Adolis, Heim, Webb, Haggerty, and Sborz
Arb1: Burger, Jung, Duran, Josh Smith

Jung has show ++ defense the past week and IMO, is a solid 3B.

I'd take Kelly on a 1 yr deal and overpay, but a 2yr+ deal (which is what he'll get) will lock up too much money in '27.
Evo (37), deGrom (39), Leiter... Kelly will be 37. (projected '27 age)
