We often forget Josh Smith was really good at LSU and a 2nd round draft choice of the Yankees.

Turns out he ended up the key piece of the Joey Gallo trade - Josh Smith, Glenn Otto, Ezequiel Durn, and Trevor Hauver, for Joey Gallo and Joely Rodrguez. Absolute grand theft by Jon Daniels on that one.

Obviously Gallo would've made more if he accepted the contract but I wonder if he would've been a better hitter than he was when he bounced around between NY, LA, Minnesota & DC. Wasn't too much of a secret how comfortable he was here
